The SLAC tour is Friday afternoon (details below). Therefore, I vote for
having a Computer Museum tour on Friday morning.

The hands-on science museum Richard's referring to, in San Francisco, is the
justifiably world-famous Exploratorium, and is well worth going to.

BTW, the SLAC inspiration came from Leif Johnson who works there. I remember
chatting with him via email a l o n g time ago, around 1992. Does anyone
know him? I emailed him prior to the San Jose conference two years ago but
didn't hear back.
