Some interesting things are happening in the political world, and I may have
a job in a couple of years, if my brain holds out. I hope to have my desk
cleaned off by then. As you may realize, I am sorta like the Woz: I wanna
do the tekkie stuff, not the finance and politics! Something about that guy
resonates with me, except for the Bob Dylan part: we all knew that the
answer blowin' in the wind was marijuana smoke. But what am I to do? I
have to survive, to grow the little wealth I have accumulated, and that
leads to financial stuff.

Industrial companies do not hire people who have been unployed for 13 years.
They require w number of years in language x on machine y and operating
system z, and must have completed the training class that only the human
resource manager's nephew has been to. So my job hunt has turned
political. I am helping my surrogate run against the entrenched bureacrat
who beat me four years ago, and I think our chances are good. I'm going to
try for a director seat in the Gardena Valley Democratic Club tonight; we
shall see what happens. My surrogate has gotten credentialed as vice-chair
of the CDC. A lot more doors are open to a "democrat" than to a
Libertarian. Do not believe the fascists: there is a very wide range of
political opinion under the democratic umbrella.

Also, the time is approaching when I need to do some serious estate
planning. The kidney stone reminded me that we are suffering from terminal
mortality. Without the lithotripsy, I would have died an agonizing death a
couple months ago.

How about that Art Bell? Three months after his beloved wife Ramona dies,
he is running off to the Islands to marry and live with a cute young
Philippine girl. Hmmmm.... I wonder if Ramona died of completely natural
causes.

Gotta go now for the anti-fascist anti-racist demonstration in support of
the immigrants. After all, I am married to one of 'em! If they want to
deport anybody, start with the Injuns: they have been here the longest, so
they should go home first. Send 'em packing over the ice bridge to Asia.
Then the Pilgrims. While we are at it, let's clone and restore the wooly
mammoth, giant cat, and the dire wolf: that will encourage more to leave.
Then I think we should align our immigration laws and procedures to be the
same as Mexico, and provide the budget for strict enforcement. And while
we are at it, I suggest a new cabinet level department, the United States of
America Department of Faith. They would work closely with the homeland
securty people to root out atheists, Islamics, and Wiccans and their
influences from our culture.

I read a good book: "Caveman Chemistry". You should take a look at it; it
will teach you more survival skills than the Montana Paramilitary Christian
Identity Survivalist Militia (with guns).

Hello Richard,

This is a response for your last four emails. I get up early enough to
catch the very end of the KFI Art Bell show and I heard the Woz. He is a
really good person, down to earth, etc.

I also just sent an HHC update using the HHC list to get the Conference
going.

I have to move, once again, my office at work and I am taking much of my
personal items home - in preparation to finding a place of my own to move
to. I have been saving for years and I think I am getting close.

X < > Y,

Richard

Things are starting to happen with regards to HHC 2006. HP is not sleeping
either and the future of HP Calculators looks brighter than it has in five
years.
