Just to clarify: HPCC is the British club for users of HP handhelds, originally called PPC(UK), but now named the Handheld and Portable Computer Club, with obvious reference to HP in the first two letters. HHCyyyy is the annual HP Handhelds Conference held each yyyyear. ;-) Usually in the United States. Once very 5 years, HPCC holds its own conference, and sometimes people come from the US to London to take part in our conference, instead of holding an HHC in the US. In those years, the HPCC conference is also called the HHC for that year. Complicated? It gets worse! For the other 4 years of each 5 year cycle, HPCC holds a low-key mini-conference, not a full-scale conference. In 2007, HPCC had a full conference, but HP invited the organisers of the HHCs to San Diego, so there was a separate HHC2007 this year, and the HPCC conference was not called HHC2007. The wonderful calendar produced by Richard Nelson and Jake Schwartz for HHC2007 in San Diego this year shows that HHC2008 will be on September 20 and 21 2008. This will probably be held in Boise, Idaho. The calendar also shows that the HPCC mini-conference in 2008 will be held a week earlier, on September 13 and 14. It might last only one day, September 13. This mailing list is set up by Eric Smith for discussion of the HPCC conferences, whether anyone calls them an HHC or not! Thanks Eric! I hope that's all clear now ;-) Best Wishes, Wlodek Mier-Jedrzejowicz, HPCC Chairman --- Eric Smith wrote: > Robert wrote: > > Eric, when and where will the next HPCC likely be > held? > > There was an HPCC conference in London last weekend: > > http://www.hpcc.org/conferences/ > > I was unable to attend.
